I would say, the best Slayer album would have to be the one where they took the most risk in exploring the new sonic territory. That, by definition, would be the rawest, undiluted Slayer album. You all are saying Reign in Blood, and I respect that choice. It’s the classic metal album choice. It sold well, and it kicked off the reign of Rick Ruben, who brought out their greatness in the form of success. Hell Awaits remains my favorite album. Really due to the reverb across the whole thing, sets the thematic tone in such a ballsy way. Best Lyrics? I would say they had it all dialed in for Divine Intervention. That would be the most technically perfect Slayer album. 100% of that album, from the slashed arm disc art to dittohead at 220bpm, the fastest track, is pure Slayer.KK. Slider Slayer Hoodie
